Recipe Steps

Batasha is the traditional sweet that people makes on their during festivals and worship of lord.

Gather ingredients

👉 Gather all ingredients like sugar, baking powder, water.

Make a sugar syrup

👉 Add appropriate water into the 1 cup sugar. Add water according you want concentration.
👉 Mix well.

Heat at medium flame

👉 Heat this syrup for 2 minutes at medium flame. After boiling syrup it becomes little thick.
👉 Stir continuously. It will create bubbles.
👉 Boil the syrup till it reach at harder consistency is best option to making perfect batasha.
👉 When you see 2-3 thread of the sugar syrup between your fingertips, that means syrup is ready.

Add baking powder

👉Add 1/2 tbsp baking powder which helps in little smooth and soft batasha (Patasa).

Give a shape

👉 Drop sugar syrup on the cotton cloth with the help of a spoon.
👉 Option 1: Use baking paper
👉 Option 2: you can use thali for drying. Before shaping batasha (Add oil on thali for greasing before put in it.)
👉 Dry it 2-3 minutes.
👉 Now that the batasha is dry, remove it from the butter-paper.
👉 Now ready batasha to serve.
